As the name implies, this museum honours Indian army troops who bravely fought for their country and sacrificed a great number of their lives in the process.
The museum chronicles the history of the creation of the Indian Army under British rule as well as the accomplishments of the Kumaon Regiment soldiers in the numerous battles fought both during and after British rule, up until the most recent Kargil War.
The museum's unique selling point is its almost 30-minute guided tour. The tour guide is a retired soldier who is both incredibly entertaining and knowledgeable.
