LOHAGHAT is situated 14 km away from Champawat city, situated on the banks of river Lohawati. Every year "Fatakshila Ka Mela" is held here. Lohaghat is called the heart of Champawat. This area was the first stop on the path of Kailash Mansarovar, the penance place of sages from Ramayana, Mahabharata, Kaal and even before that.
