Chopta is a hill station and a trekking destination situated in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. It also refered as “mini-Switzerland”. Chopta is also the epicenter of Panch Kedar-the five most sacred Shiv temples in the state. Chopta is well connected by motorable roads with major destinations of Uttarakhand. Chopta is situated 33km from Ukhimath and 68km from Rudraprayag.
If you are traveling by road from Delhi, the distance from Delhi to Chopta is approximately 387 km. Buses and taxis are available from ISBT Kashmiri Gate to Rishikesh for your initial journey. From Rishikesh, you can hire taxis or sharing cabs to reach Chopta.
If you prefer to travel by air, nearest airport to Chopta is Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun which is approximately 219km. From airport, you can hire taxi to Chopta.
