OMKARESHWAR TEMPLE belief among Hindus that the person who recites the names of these twelve Jyotirlingas daily in the morning and evening, his sins of seven births are erased by the mere remembrance of these lingas. Here there is Omkareshwar Jyotirling as well as Amleshwar Jyotirling. Both these Shivlingas have been counted in the same Jyotirlinga. Omkareshwar place also falls in Malwa region. The island is made in the shape of the Hindu holy symbol Om. Two temples are situated here one is Omkareshwarand second is Amareshwar. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
