KEDARNATH four places in Uttarakhand, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri, collectively known as Char Dham, are referred to as a Dev Bhoomi. Dedicated to the temple of Lord Shiva. Visit Kedarnath between May and October for the greatest weather. The town is always closed in the winter because of the considerable snowfall. One of India's twelve for Jyotirlinges temples is Kedarnath. Temple opens at 7:00 AM and closes lunch. It reopens at 5:00 PM.

If you prefer journey by plane, nearest airport to Kedarnath is Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun which is 250km away. Taxis and Sharing cabs are available from Dehradun to Gaurikund. You can also hire helicopter services from Sahatradhara road in Dehradun and reach directly to Gaurikund.
